OneSource Networks

One Source Networks provides cloud-based communications and managed technology services for the enterprise market, which includes meeting clients’ data center and connectivity needs, and offering UCaaS and managed network solutions. The company is headquartered in Austin, Texas, with additional, smaller-scale operations and sales offices spread across the United States.

One Source Networks was seeking to partner with an equity group, primarily to meet two key financial goals. First, the company wanted to provide liquidity to certain stockholders. Second, it sought capital and support to expand its capabilities and service offerings at an accelerated pace. This would allow it to continue delivering innovative services and expertise to its rapidly growing enterprise customer base. One Source Networks found Q Advisors ideally suited to provide advice and expertise on those equity groups specifically service the telecom and technology sector.

Ultimately, Q Advisors was able to connect One Source Networks with Boston, Massachusetts-based ABRY Partners, a leading communications and technology focused private equity firm. ABRY’s strategic investment provided the company with a dividend recapitalization, working capital, and funds to ensure continued business expansion, including new points of presence internationally.

“We met Q Advisors over two years ago and began to discuss options to expand our business,” says One Source Networks CEO Ernest Cunningham. “They explained their philosophy of acting as a trusted advisor with a long-term view of client relationships. That resonated with the One Source Networks management team, as we take the same approach with our own customers. Simply put, the Q Advisors team delivered. They ran a strong process enabling us to select from a number of attractive private equity partners. They negotiated hard on our behalf and helped us structure an attractive deal with a great partner in ABRY. We look forward to our continued partnership with the Q Advisors team.”
